The Blackhawks suspended prospect Garret Ro s amid the felony charge he is facing under Illinois' new revenge-porn law.
Ro s, a 23-year-old left winger, is accused of distributing a sexual image without the person's consent. According to police, the woman involved said Ro s took a video she sent to one of his teammates with whom she had previous relations. Ro s then distributed the video in August 2015 without her consent after he allegedly said the woman was the cause of his breakup with his girlfriend.

Revenge porn became illegal in Illinois in June 2015, a Cla s 4 felony charge punishable by up to three years in prison. Ro s awaits a status hearing on March 28 and a preliminary hearing on April 22.
Ro s was the Blackhawks' fifth-round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft. He has never appeared in an NHL game.
After four years in juniors with OHL Saginaw, Ro s spent the past four seasons with the Blackhawks' AHL Rockford affiliate. In 59 games this season he has seven goals and 13 a sists.
Rockford scratched Ro s from the lineup after news of the charges broke.
