В немецком зоопарке Allwetter Zoo появились на свет детеныши редкого вида дикой кошки - азиатской золотой кошки. Два котенка родились благодаря успешно проведенному искусственному оплодотворению. Один сейчас находится на попечении мамы-кошки, а второго забрали к себе сотрудники зоопарка и выкармливают искусственно. Так будет больше шансов, что оба детеныша выживут.
Азиатская золотая кошка (темминка) очень редкий вид, находящийся под угрозой полного вымирания. Ареал обитания: Китай (Тибет), Индия, Таиланд, Индонезия (Суматра), Малазийский п-ов, Бирма, Вьетнам, Лаос.
