Славяне не далеко ушли от своих европейских собратьев. Они тоже верили, что косточка кошек сможет защитить от сглаза, а заживо закопанный кот способствует хорошему урожаю. Средневековье давно миновало, а суеверия, связанные с черными кошками остались живы. Немцы до сих пор внимательно следят, чтобы у алтаря случайно не оказалась черная кошка, иначе молодожены будут ругаться. Американцы неохотно принимают черных найденышей в приют. Если пятница вдруг выпала на 13 число, то все черные кошки в Америке ходят с колокольчиками.
