Ryan Reaves scored arguably the most significant goal in the Vegas Golden Knights' on Monday night.
With the Golden Knights conceding a goal just over a minute into the third period, Reaves answered 1:31 later to putVegas right back in the game. But as Reaves looked for his teammates to celebrate, Capitalshead coach Barry Trotz was looking towards the officials for a penalty call on the Golden Knights' forward.
Reaves, while battling Capitals defenseman John Carlsonfor position in front of the net, cro schecked Carlson in the back. Carlson fell to the ice, which opened up the nece sary space for Reaves to roof the shot past Braden Holtby.Carlson voiced his displeasure with officials while he headed back to the Capitals bench.The officiating crewled by Wes McCauley and Marc Joannette failed to see Reaves' infraction on the play.
